PFOWA holds annual charity bazaar

Pakistan Foreign Office Women's Association (PFOWA) here on Sunday arranged an annual charity bazaar to collects funds for the welfare of employees of Foreign Office and tsunami victims. Wife of chairman senate, Begum Khadija Soomro who was the chief guest visited various stalls and appreciated the efforts of PFOWA for its charity work.
She was informed that the funds from charity bazaar would be spent on the welfare of deserving employees of the Foreign Office and for the victims of tsunami.
The stall holders displayed various decorative items, flowers and candles, kitchenware, household items, linen, cosmetics, jewellery, handbags, garments and kids items.
Food stalls were also set up where a variety of food was available for the visitors.
Diplomatic missions in Pakistan who set up stalls at the bazaar included Turkish embassy, Iran, Iraq, Republic of Northern Cyprus, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India and the Asean countries.
President PFOWA Mrs Shahnaz Khokhar said that PFOWA is working with an aim to provide assistance to the deserving employees of the Foreign Office.
She said Pakistani missions abroad also contributed to the charity bazaar.
