School cricket tournament

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in collaboration with Pepsi Cola International is organising a school cricket tournament, which will start in the third week of March. This tournament will be played on a regional basis in the nine cricket regions of the country. A spokesman of PCB said here on Monday that the tournament is part of the efforts underway, to revive grassroots cricket in Pakistan, which had been neglected for long years. "District Cricket Associations will play a vital role in organising this tournament with active assistance from the Regional Development Officers/Managers", he added.

PCB chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan, has expressed sorrow on the demise of father of cricketer Younas Khan In a condolence message to Younas, he said: "we realise that you were far away on national duty on the tragic day and fully share your grief. May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul and give you and your family the strength to bear this loss".
