Shaukat for just and equitable solution of Kashmir issue

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has called for a just and equitable solution of the Kashmir problem, in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmir people. He was talking to the Chairman of Parliament's Special Committee on Kashmir, Hamid Nasir Chattha who was accompanied by Senator Mushahid Hussein Syed. The two leaders met the Prime Minister here on Monday evening. Shaukat Aziz reiterated Pakistan's political, moral and diplomatic support for the Kashmiris struggle to achieve their right of self determination.
The prime minister said the composite dialogue with India is in process and there is a need to move at a faster pace to create a congenial atmosphere to resolution of bilateral issues.
He said both the countries should manifest magnanimity, flexibility, sincerity and courage to resolve issue for the sake of peace in the region and prosperity of both the countries.
Pakistan wants progress on all areas to move in tandem with progress on the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir", observed the prime minister.
He said that resolution of the Kashmir problem will pave the way for durable peace in South Asia and accelerated economic development in the region.
The two leaders also discussed with the Prime Minister the Kashmir Solidarity Day's programme being observed on February, 5.
