Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 134,772 tonnes of cargo including 115,037 tonnes import and 19,735 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 5,970 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 73,730 tonnes dry cargo including 70,760 tonnes general cargo; 2,970 tonnes R/Phosphate and 61,012 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely S. Caboto, Sun Diamond and Orionis sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Tai He, Madre, Sinar Bontang, Apl Pusan, Oranje, Iran Baabaei, Thor Captain, M T Johar and Al Maqwa are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Iran Baabaei, Golden Gion and Rio Rubio expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Thor Captain, M T Johar and Al Maqwa expected to sail on Thursday.
CV Hyundai Future due to arrive on Wednesday, while four ships namely Adhidaya, Apl Tulip, Scotia and Phoros are due to arrive on Thursday.

The cargo comprised of 6,527 tonnes chemicals; 6,723 tonnes edible oil; 30,279 tonnes furnace oil; 2,893 tonnes wheat; 15,459 tonnes iron ore and 9,928 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MT Bum Mi, Sinar Sabang, Chemstar Eagle and MV Chilbar are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of two vessels viz Chemstar Brave and CMA CGM Nilgai are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CMA CGM Nilgai, Oranje, Chemstar Brave and Anette Kosan due to take berths on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz Al Farabi and MT Wilmington with chemicals and crude oil due to arrive on Thursday.
