Tajikistan government would extend all out co-operation to those Pakistanis who intend to do business there, and Tajikistan government is holding a 'Made in Pakistan' exhibition in Khujand region in April this year to promote Pakistani products. Sughd region of Tajikistan Deputy Chairman Boboev Shawkat Boborajabovich expressed these views while speaking at a luncheon reception hosted in the honour of Tajik delegation led by him, by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI) here on Thursday. He briefed the participants of the meeting about business opportunities available in Tajikistan.
He urged the LCCI to ensure participation of maximum Pakistani entrepreneurs in the exhibition. "The bond of friendship between the two countries would further strengthen in coming days," he added. He invited the Pakistani businessmen to make investment in Tajikistan, which was full of opportunities. He added there was a lot of scope in steel and textile sectors and Pakistani entrepreneurs could make investment in both the sectors. The weather conditions in Tajikistan were quite good for Pakistani businessmen, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, LCCI senior vice-president Sohail Lashari said Tajik businessmen should also come forward and take advantage of business-friendly policies of the government of Pakistan. "It was high time for the Tajik businessmen to make investment in Pakistan, which was fast becoming hub of business activities," he added.
According to him, the visit of a high-powered delegation from a well-known region of Tajikistan was a continuation of efforts to bring the business communities of both the countries closer for the sake of economic co-operation. Exchange of delegations would set the tone for future economic relations between the two countries and the LCCI would continue to play its due role for the promotion of trade.
LCCI vice-president Sheikh Muhammad Arshad assured the Tajik delegation the LCCI would do its best to make the 'Made in Pakistan' exhibition a success. He said the business communities of both the countries were moving in right direction and days were not very far when the trade relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan would become exemplary.
