South African company to buy Pakistani Mushshak

05 Feb, 2005

A South African company will purchase five Mushshak trainer aircraft from Pakistan. The Uni Group Holdings signed a contract with the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex during IDEAS 2004 for the purchase, pending the issuance of Type Acceptances Certificate by the South African Civil Aviation authority.
Inspectors from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) visited Pakistan October last year to satisfy themselves with the quality and standards maintained by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
On January 24, the Acceptance Certificate was signed by the SACAA clearing the way for the Mushshak sale.
The first Mushshak is expected to arrive in South Africa in the next six months, constituting a major development in relations between the two countries.
