A daylong 'Spring Festival' was celebrated in the metropolis on Sunday. As many as 1,500 people participated in the festivities which included kite flying as well as a stage show. The event was organised at Hawksbay here under the auspices of the Ladies Forum Pakistan. Chairperson of the forum, Ms. Farzana Rehman said the beach was selected as the venue for her organisation's 6th Annual Spring Festival with a view to promote what she termed as 'beach tourism'.
