Jordan buys barley

Jordan's state gains buyer on Wednesday purchased 55,000 tonnes of feed barley in a tender at a price of $163.35 a tonne C&F, European traders said. The grain can be of any origin. Jordan had issued a tender for 50,000 tonnes for shipment between March 5 and 20. In its previous tender on November 4, 2004, Jordan purchased 100,000 tonnes of barley said to be from the Black Sea region at $161.25 and $163.75 a tonne C&F.
