FPCCI chief welcomes Pak-India agreements

Chaudhry Mohammad Saeed, President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has welcomed the agreements reached between India and Pakistan including the start of Muzaffarabad - Srinagar bus service. In a statement before leaving for a visit to India, the FPCCI President said that the agreements reached on certain issues between Pakistan and India are a major breakthrough in the ongoing process of the composite dialogue.
Chaudhry Saeed also appreciated other agreements pertaining to the revival of Monabao-Khokhrapar rail link, establishment of gas pipeline, the re-opening of Pakistani and Indian Consulates in Bombay and Karachi respectively, introduction of bus service between Amritsar and Nankana Sahib and other places of worship for pilgrimage by visitors from India and the decision about adopting mechanism for the release of imprisoned fishermen belonging to the two countries.
He also welcomed the resolve by both the countries to continue sincere endeavours for resolving all bilateral differences through the composite dialogue.
"I hope that these agreements will lead to a greater achievement of settlement of the Kashmir issue, the prime cause of tension between the two countries," the FPCCI president observed.
Chaudhry Saeed said that both the countries would have to show to the world that they could resolve all their outstanding issues through mutual understanding and peaceful dialogue. The successful talks held between the two foreign ministers have already demonstrated their resolve to be flexible in their approach, which augurs well for both the countries, he added.
