President Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that Muzzafarabad-Srinagar bus service is the first step towards resolving Kashmir dispute. He was talking to the media men while sending relief goods to the rain-affected areas, here at the party's central secretariat on Friday. Shujaat said that the bus service would rejoin the separated families in the valley. He was of the view that the bus service would help in further developing the ongoing confidence-building measures CBMs between the two governments.
Talking about the current devastation caused in the country, the PML chief said that providing rehabilitation services and consigning necessities to the people of the torrential rain affected areas are the foremost duty of the government.
Chaudhry Shujaat said that the damaged roads and other infrastructure would soon be repaired so as to transport basic necessities to the affected areas. He assured that not a single affected area would be ignored while extending the relief services.
He was of the view that the PML workers would supervise the relief operations, adding that any slackness on the part of administration in provision of basic rehabilitation services would not be tolerated.
Later, Chaudhry Shujaat handed over the relief goods including blankets, rice, flour bags, ghee, tea, pulses, and other food items to Tehsil Nazim Murree, Sardar Sajid.
Syed Tabish Alwari, central media co-ordinator of PML, said that relief goods to Northern Areas and Murree have been dispatch, while goods to Balochistan would be sent on Saturday. He further said that the party would extend its services and send relief goods wherever needed.
