High Court Bar Association Multan has announced the schedule for the election for 2005-06. Election will be held on March 26. Briefing the journalists here on Wednesday, Election Board Chairman Moulvi Sultan Alam Ansari said, "The nomination papers would be received on March 10. Scrutiny of the papers would be held on March 12. Appeals against acceptance & rejection of candidatures on March 12.
Final list of candidates would be issued on the same day. Election would be held on March 26 and official result to be announced on March 29. Oath taking ceremony took place on April 1.
Kanwar Muhammad Younas and Shaikh Sajjad Ahmed will be the member of election board. Sardar Balakh Sher Khosa will be returning officer and Arif Murtaza and Chaudhry Bilal Ahmed would assist him. A three member appellate authority was also constituted headed by Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq, its chairman.
