The government has recently selected a dozen officers of the Ministry of Information and Media Development for posting abroad against vacancies in various Pakistani missions. Out of these chosen ones are private secretary to the Minister for Information, private secretary to the Minister of State for Information, private secretary to the Information Secretary, PRO to the Prime Minister, and a deputy secretary and two press secretaries currently working at the PM's Secretariat.
Perhaps the fact that the three-member selection committee was headed by the Information Minister, and included the Minister of State and Secretary of the same Ministry, explains the appointment of these officers among a host of other - more suitable and better-qualified - officers.
