A 30-seat new coaster gifted by the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) for special children was handed over to the management of the Institute of Behavioural Psychology (IBP) by Begum Asmia Athar Ali, wife of Karachi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Athar Ali, in a simple ceremony held at the Institute here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Begum Athar stressed the need for sharing the joys and happiness of psychologically and emotionally distressed children through small acts of kindness and affection. She said the special children deserve the attention and they should be treated with utmost love, care and tenderness.
She lauded the initiative of the DHA to donate a Coaster for a noble cause, and hoped that it would go a along way towards alleviating the problems of these children and would contribute towards their rehabilitation efforts.
