Message from Sindh chief minister

20 Mar, 2005

I am delighted to see Textile Asia 2005 is being organised for the second successive year in the city of lights, Karachi, which is the regional business and industrial hub and offers the right combination of amenities and infrastructure to organise such mega-events. The sector contributes over 65% in to the total export earnings, which is a major portion of our total exports and our economy is heavily dependant on this sector.
Our government is putting up a noticeable effort to further develop the basic infrastructure in the sector so that we may improve the productivity and quality of our textile products to acquire the desired share and spot in the international market.
I congratulate the organisers of Textile Asia 2005 for putting up this wonderful effort to showcase the immense potential of our textile sector and to enlighten the local and international stakeholders regarding the numerous opportunities and huge returns on investments that Pakistan offers to them. I assure highest support to all businessmen and entrepreneurs from the Government of Sindh for carrying out their business in Pakistan.
I wish Textile Asia tremendous success and God speed!
