Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 90,804 tonnes of cargo including 74,160 tonnes import and 16,644 tonnes export cargo inclusive of 2,933 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 56,304 tonnes dry cargo including 28,982 tonnes general cargo, 7,000 tonnes coal; 1,029 tonnes rice; 3,605 tonnes rapeseed; 6,425 tonnes scrap; 6,116 tonnes sugar; 3,147 tonnes fertiliser and 34,500 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Wan Hai-262, Hannibal-II, MT Johar, Ponl Mahe and Merlion Park sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Kota Tabah, Corinthiakos, Wan Hai-262, Ingolstadt and MT Lalazar are currently at the berths.
Eight ships namely Darya Yog, Kota Tabah, Sagamore, Dubai Faith, Lalazar, Iran Sattari, Cape-B and Corinthiakos expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Bow Maasstad and Sagamore due to arrive on Saturday, while five ships namely Wilmington, Iran Sattari, Nefeli-1, Anna-L and Floriana are due to arrive on Sunday.
Five ships namely Nur Yanbu, Yanaseni, Anteres, Avaion and Ibn Bassam are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 2,182 tonnes chemicals; 3,350 tonnes edible oil; 39,255 tonnes HSD oil; 11,433 tonnes seeds; 8,486 tonnes wheat ore and 20,825 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely Sinar Sabang, Al Maqwa and Mastery sailed out to sea during the report period, while another vessel MSC Hailey is expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
Container vessel Noresia Everest is currently at the outer anchorage and due to take berth on Saturday.
Three vessels viz Nur Yanbu, OOCL Authority and MT Yanaseni with chemicals and containers due to arrive on Satursday, while two more ships namely MT Warbah and CV Nordstrand with containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Sunday.
