I, like many others, was displeased to read that Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz accompanied the visiting Saudi Prince Walid bin Talal to the two commercial plots available in Islamabad for constructing a hotel and a plaza.
Given the high level of Pakistan-Saudi relationship, this would have been a kind gesture by all means for any Pakistani, but certainly not for the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Granted the Prince is the richest Muslim of the world, but then he does not enjoy an official status worthy of escort for the Prime Minister himself to the project sites that the visiting dignitary was considering for investment.
Old habits die hard, we all know. But Mr Prime Minister, you should maintain dignity of your office, whatever the noble cause.
