European Union Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson said on Monday he was still waiting for Washington to come back to him after talks on aircraft subsidies to plane makers Boeing and Airbus hit trouble last week. "The ball is in America's court. I'm looking for clarification of the US position," Mandelson told reporters at a brief news conference in Moscow. He was speaking after the European Commission said it was up to the United States to take the next move for a resumption of talks over subsidies to civil aircraft makers.
Washington ended a truce between the two sides last Friday, accusing Brussels of reneging on the goal of eliminating state aid to rivals Airbus and Boeing.
