The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said on Monday it had committed to sell 2,110 tonnes of cotton in the week ended March 19. Alcotexa said it had committed to sell 1,351 tonnes of Giza 70, 12 tonnes of Giza 87, 722 tonnes of Giza 86 and 25 tonnes of Giza 80. The new commitments bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the year started August 14 to 121,628.5 tonnes of cotton worth $224.7 million, the Alcotexa figures showed.
