Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 93,308 tonnes of cargo including 73,012 tonnes import and 20,296 tonnes export cargo inclusive of 1,824 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 52,727 tonnes dry cargo including 33,415 tonnes general cargo, 3,647 tonnes coal; 1,550 tonnes rice; 6,603 tonnes scrap; 3,419 tonnes sugar; 4,093 tonnes fertiliser and 40,581 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Sagamore, Dubai Faith, Iran Sattari and Corinthiakos sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Iran Sattari, Neefli-1, Banga Barta and Avalon are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely MT Shalamar, Cape-B, Falcon Trident and Neefli-1 expected to sail on Monday, while Avlon is expected to sail on Tuesday.
MV Anteres due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Hanseduo, Kota Teguh, Apl Jeddah, Eax Sanctity and Badulu Valley are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 4,154 tonnes chemicals; 49,900 tonnes HSD oil; 7,075 tonnes wheat and 37,995 tonnes containerised cargo.
Container vessel OOCL Authority sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships namely MT Warbah and Rio Garcia are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
Container vessel Maersk Alaska is currently at the outer anchorage.

Five vessels viz Nur Yanbu, MSC Carmen, Saudi Tabuk, Eleranta and Banga Barta with chemicals, jute, coal and containers are due to arrive on Monday, while four more ships namely P&O Nedlloyd Tiger, Oranje, Min Noble and Antwerp Max with containers, iron ore and wheat are due to arrive on Tuesday.
