Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) President Qazi Hussain Ahmad has vowed to change existing system through million marches. Addressing a protest caravan of the MMA at Liaquat Bagh prior to its departure for Gujranwala here on Tuesday, he claimed that masses would reject the present regime in the MMA's Lahore Million March on Wednesday. He was confident that the MMA's protest drive would not only change the present rulers, but existing shabby system prevailing in the country very soon.
The caravan was led by the MMA Secretary General and leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman, National Assembly member Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Qari Gul Rahman, Maulana Asadullah and others.
A huge motorcade, including hundreds of vehicles were participating in the caravan.
Qazi said that the days of the rulers have been numbered and they should quit voluntarily.
He claimed that the entire nation was ready to come on the roads to bring 'an Islamic revolution'.
He accused the rulers of toeing to dictates of the United States and other 'anti-Islam forces'. He clarified that they were not opposed to the Pak-US relations but were against the wrong policies and puppets rulers.
Qazi said that the Islamic integrity was being distorted at the behest of the United States.
"U-turn on Kashmir policy, unilateral ties with India and the bids to convert the society into so-called moderate are deviation from the ideology of Islam and Pakistan," he added.
He accused rulers of making only hollow claims of development in the country and said unemployment and inflation are on the rise.
New taxes are being imposed daily and the country is in the grab of unrest, he added.
He regretted that only few people are grabbing perks and privileges in the present system of feudalism, adding that a handful westernise people have made the nation besieged.
Qazi deplored that our military is being used to serve and safeguard the US interests.
"Dr Qadeer has been detained on the behest of the US," he added.
He warned that keeping in view such situation, the people would be compelled to come out on the roads and launch forceful agitation against the authorities, he added.
