Pak-India peace march flagged off

The 1000km long Pak-India Peace March from New Delhi to Multan was flagged off here after the participants paid obeisance and homage to revered saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) on Wednesday. "Aim of the Indo-Pak peace march is to walk into the hearts of the people," expressed the participants of the March at the Dargah Sharif of great Sufi saint before embarking on unique travel to fostering peace process between the two countries.
The walk organised by citizen groups of India and Pakistan witnessed tremendous support from both sides of the borders. Various prominent personalities including Mahesh Bhatt, Nafisa Ali, S Geelani expressed their solidarity on the occasion.
The walk, which started on March 23 after an offering at the Dargah Sharif in Delhi, is destined to touch Multan in Pakistan on May 11.
The route, indicated by the activists from both sides for peace march had been adopted by Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (RA) in the 13th century.
