Chinese businessmen show interest in marble and granite

Chinese businessmen have shown interest in buying marble and granite from Pakistan. This was disclosed by All Pakistan Marble Industries Association (Apmia) Chairman Sanaullah Khan on his return from China. Giving details, he said that Vice-President of Xishi Group Development Company Limited, one of the leading Chinese companies dealing in marble and granite, ChuShang Wang, was coming here on Saturday (March 26) to explore the possibilities of selling Chinese machinery here.
Sanaullah Khan, who led a delegation of seven leading marble industrialists of Pakistan to China, said the Pakistani delegation visited "Stonetech 2005 Beijing," the biggest exhibition, where the latest machinery relating to marble and granite was displayed.
The delegation members also visited Fujian province, known for marble and granite industries, marble and granite machinery industries and diamond tools industries, he added. Diamond Tools and Marble and Granite Machineries' officials informed the Apmia Chairman that they were manufacturing the modern machinery for marble and granite sector and were competing with the machinery's made by the European Countries like Italy. Price wise, they said their machinery was low priced compared to the similar machinery, manufactured in the EU countries.
They informed Pakistani delegation members that if Pakistan showed interest in buying their machinery then they could make customised machinery for them according to specifications that were easily available in Pakistan.
Chinese also showed great interest in buying Pakistan marble and granite and many Chinese companies are willing to come to Pakistan for trading in marble and granite sector. Another leading Chinese company, Best Cheer Stone Group Procurement Manager Park Hyeng Woo informed Pakistani delegation members that they would send their company's delegation to Pakistan some time next month.
Pakistani delegation members included: Saeedullah Jan, Abdul Hameed Shera, Tariq A.Sheikh, Muhammad Saleem Mughal, Haroon Munir, Farrukh Majeed, Farooq Hameed, Waseem Farooq, and Ihsanullah Khan.
