Pakistan Ambassador to Russia, Iftikhar Murshad has said that all hindrances in way of relations between Pakistan and Russia have been removed and now their exists good bilateral relations between the two countries. In an interview to Radio Moscow regarding Pakistan Day he said, Pakistan and Russia are co-operating with each other in solving international issues. Both the countries are engaged in a joint struggle against terrorism, he added.
Besides, an atmosphere of friendship and goodwill between the two countries has been created, he said, adding "however, it is needed that both countries should also collaborate with each other in the economic and trade sectors."
He said Pakistan and Russia at present were standing at a platform from where the economic relations between the to countries could take a boost.
"We have many projects in this respect. One of these projects is to supply gas from Iran to India via Pakistan. This project will be accomplished by Russian company Godpron at the estimated cost of three billion dollars, he said.
He said there was also the expansion project of Karachi Steel Mills at the cost of one billion rupees in which Russia will play an active part.
"Both the countries are also focusing to enhance the exchange of cultural delegations," he said, adding it would help improve relations between the two.
