AJK plans to revive sick units

Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) government has issued directives for initiating early measures to revive sick industrial units to make them productive and earning concerns. Official sources told APP here Friday that since the government was bent upon bringing about the industrial revolution in Azad Kashmir through laying industrial network by the private sector in various parts of Azad Kashmir particularly in Mirpur division, the state administration considered it imperative for the concerned functionaries of AJK government to materialise the government's ambitious plan for speedy industrial progress in the liberated territory.
The government has directed the industries and other departments to extend every possible facility and incentives to the exiting and intending investors for the speedy industrial progress of AJK so that the state economy could get strengthened and the AJK people could embrace with the socio-economic uplift and prosperity.
The top AJK authorities have advised the Department of Commerce and Industries to strictly abide by the rules and regulations in connection with the allotment of plots for the new industrial units in the industrial estates of Azad Kashmir. The authorities have also decided to initiate stringent action against those officials responsible of creating undue bottlenecks in the official work.
