Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 49,355 tonnes of cargo including 23,464 tonnes import and 25,891 tonnes export cargo inclusive of 3,798 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 41,755 tonnes dry cargo including 32,653 tonnes general cargo, 2,550 tonnes rock phosphate; 95 tonnes rice; 820 tonnes SB meal; 5,637 tonnes sugar; 2,215 tonnes fertiliser and 7,600 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Ten ships namely Iran Piroozi, Wan Hai 267, Westermueshllen, YM Fortune, Kenwood Park, Bow Maasstad, Anna-L, Khalid, Antares, and Floriana sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Wan Hai 267, Harmony, Wave, Efdorn Junior, Sunniva and Bow Puma are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Thor Captain and Sibi expected to sail on Saturday, while Badulu Valley is expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Bruce Park and Luo Qing due to arrive on Saturday, while three ships namely MT Johar, Bunga Kenari and Sea Conqueror are due to arrive on Sunday.
Four ships namely MT Shalamar, Corinthiakos, Ever Gather and Sagamore are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 9,738 tonnes chemicals; 4,103 tonnes edible oil; 1,775 tonnes jute; 20,658 tonnes wheat; 11,793 tonnes coal and 21,692 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container vessels MSC Socotra and Wester Moor sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely MT Rosanne and Elevanta are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of four vessels viz Min Noble, Anette Kosan, Camilla Rickmers and Gulf Grace are currently at the outer anchorage.
