The rupee recovered 10 paisa against the dollar in the open market for buying and selling at 59.75 and 59.85 respectively , dealers said on Saturday. According to the market sources, the rupee came out from the overnight weakness as buying pressure bycorporate sector eased. The euro fluctuated slightly, shedding five paisa versus the rupee, trading at Rs 77.45 and Rs 77.75, dealers said.
The international markets were closed on Friday on account of Good Friday and Easter holidays, dealers said.

According to the currency dealers, the dollar resumed trading at Rs 59.70 and Rs 59.80 on buying and selling counters, respectively against overnight closing rates of Rs 59.80 and Rs 59.90. The selling pressure continued in the greenback, which helped the local currency recover its loss. At the end of trading, the dollar was traded at Rs 59.65 and Rs 59.75 on buying and selling counters, respectively. However some of the dealers quoted Rs 59.80 as dollar's selling rate.
Similarly, the local currency showed strength and further appreciated its worth against the pound sterling. The pound's buying rate moved down from Friday's closing rate of Rs 112.20 to Rs 111.60 while selling rate declined from Rs 112.50 to Rs 111.90, the dealers added.
The dollar opened at Rs 59.70 (buying) and Rs 59.80 (selling) against same last rate. It did not under go any further change in the second spell and closed at Rs 59.70 (buying) and Rs 59.80 (selling).
Pound sterling opened at Rs 113.50 (buying) and Rs 113.60 (selling) against same overnight value. No change was observe in the second spell and closed at Rs 113.50 (buying) and Rs 113.60 (selling).
