Sessi allows bone marrow transplantation to worker's girl

Governing Body of Sindh Employees' Social Security Institution (SESSI) under the chairmanship of Sindh Minister Labour, Transport, Industries and Commerce Muhammad Adil Siddiqui decided to provide bone marrow transplantation treatment to Baby Mahnoor, daughter of a secured worker Saeed Ahmed of Taj Biscuit Factory, Hyderabad. On a recommendation of Sessi Commissioner Muhammad Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, the minister has taken this decision to provide highly expensive treatment on humanitarian ground.
About Rs 1.50 million will be required for the treatment with life long medicine therapy. Since this specific medical facility is not available in Social Security Hospitals. Bismillah Taqi Hospital had been engaged for this purpose.
Earlier, such facility had been provided in two cases one to a female secured worker and another to a son of secured worker.
The Governing Body, which met on Thursday, has also approved the appointment of Project Director for Quaid Sessi Medical and Dental College and Landhi Kidney Centre and also the appointment of External Auditors for the financial year 2002-2003 and 2003-2004.
Governing Body appreciated the efforts taken for brisk development of Dhabeji Medical Centre where significant progress has been made.-PR
