The Australian Wool Exchange (AWEX) said its eastern market indicator (EMI) was unchanged at 730 cents a kg clean at its Tuesday sales. In Melbourne the southern indicator opened the week at similar levels to last weeks close. An offering of predominantly 18 to 23 microns saw 18 to 21 microns unchanged. There was some strength in the broader edge, with 22 to 24-microns up to 5 cents dearer.
