Sindh Information Technology (IT) Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday said that provision of quality education is vital to improving human resources of the country. Speaking at the inaugural session of the Workshop on "Inspection & Monitoring Skills in Educational Institutions", organised by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), he appealed to the teachers to play their important role in providing quality education to the students.
The minister said the education sector of the country needs continuous efforts to enhance the capabilities of the students so that they could face new challenges of this modern age. He said the Sindh IT department since its creation some three years back is working to provide all necessary IT facilities even in the rural areas of the province. Now the small villages of the province have been connected with the globe through Internet, he added.
He said all the departments would be computerised and all the information, forms of different kinds and other things would be available on computer, adding that a person sitting in a village of Sindh could get all information and forms through computer.
