The sub-committee of National Assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC), comprising Kunwar Khalid Younis MNA (Convenor) and Muhammad Safdar Shakir MNA (Member), held a meeting here on Monday, to discuss audit report for the year 1990-91 pertaining to Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda). In the meeting, as many as 29 audit paras were discussed and most of them were settled to the satisfaction of the committee. However, observations were made on some of the paras.
The committee directed compliance of departmental accounts committee directives, timely submission of replies regarding audit observations and production of record to audit for verification.
The meeting was attended by additional auditor general of Pakistan, deputy auditor general, joint secretary, ministry of water and power, chairman Wapda, members of the authority and senior officials of Wapda and audit department.
