Tehsil Nazim and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Hamid Nawaz Raja has said government would invite proposals and suggestions from general public for consideration before finalising the building by-laws. "We will keep in view the requirements of people and the coming era during the process and no section contradictory to Local Government Ordnance would be allowed in by-laws", tehsil Nazim said while hearing the objections on building by-laws here on Thursday.
He said before giving permission for high rise buildings in the city, tehsil government would make sure the availability of parking, facilities for handicap, public toilets, security system, emergency exit, fire extinguisher and first aid in the proposed plan of the building.
He stressed on determined efforts for giving a beautiful look to the Rawalpindi City and said all possible measures should be taken to implement the building by-laws to avoid future problems.
