KW&SB Managing Director Brigadier Iftikhar Haider, addressing an emergency meeting of KW&SB engineers here on Thursday, said that the value operations should be kept under tight control to ensure equitable water distribution among the towns. He said that leakage in water supply lines should be immediately repaired so as to check wastage of precious water. He said that in the summer days the water usage was on the rise, hence all towns should be provided with water according to their quota and strictly on their schedule.
The KWSB chief asked that the water supply schedules should be properly displayed at all the pumping stations as well as offices of engineers so that the citizens could have a full knowledge in this regard.
He said that strict action would be taken against the engineers for failure to implement water supply schedules. He asked the engineers to keep a close vigil on water supply lines to ensure that no one was stealing water from the quota of others.
