Gloves manufacturers to visit India from May 18

A 10-member delegation of Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA) will visit India from May 18 to learn more about the Indian advanced cleaner production technology. PGMEA former Chairman Muhammad Anwar Butt disclosed this while talking to the newsmen here. He said during the ten-day official visit to India, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Director General and PGMEA Chairman Shaikh Abdul Waheed Sandal would lead the delegation, which comprising leading leather and leather garments exporters from Sialkot, Karachi, Lahore and Kasur.
He said although the Cleaner Production Center and Leather Products Development Institute, Sialkot, were providing remarkable and advanced technologies to Pakistani leather industry, but the visit would be helpful for the delegates to learn much about the advanced Indian Cleaner Production Technology.
It had become vital for Pakistani leather and leather goods industry to adopt the ultra-modern cleaner production technology for boosting our exports in the World Trade Organisation regime, he observed.
