Ban on cable system demanded

A senior member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) M D Tahir has sent a letter to religious minister and cabinet division with prayer to ban the cable system in the country within fortnight, otherwise he will approach the court of law against them for not fulfilling their legal and constitutional obligations. In his letter he said that cable system in the country is spreading obscenity and thus spoiling the youth of Pakistan.
Under the constitutional and Islamic injunctions, the respondent ministry and all other government agencies are duty bound to stop obscenity in the country, but they failed to fulfil this task.
