Federal Minister for Railways, Mian Shamim Haider has said that Railway Training College Walton would soon be given status of University and a summary in this regard would be sent to Prime Minister of Pakistan. He was speaking at the 103rd Graduation Award ceremony of the Railway Training College Walton. The minister said that Railway Training College had produced thousands of engineers rendering invaluable services in different sections of Railways.
He also distributed shields and certificates amongst the foreign and Pakistani students. Earlier Director General Railway Academy Walton, Israr Ahmad Alvi in his welcome address threw light on services being rendered by the college. A student from Mianmir paid gratitude to college administration for extending quality education, food and residential facilities.
In all nine foreign students from different countries including Sri Lanka, Sudan, Thailand, Myanmar and Iran apart from Pakistan attended this course.
