Supreme Court benches

Most of the cases assigned to six benches constituted by Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui for the week relate to assessment of various taxes. The appellants are major industrial houses, including pharmaceutics manufacturers and a few other companies like Sitara Energy, Gulistan Power Generators, Maple Leaf Cement and Ihsan Cotton products. Of the six benches, four are Full and two are Division Benches. The First Bench will be presided over by Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui.
FIRST BENCH: Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui, Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar.
SECOND BENCH: Justice Rana Baghwandas and Justice Falak Sher.
THIRD BENCH: Justice Hamid Ali Mirza, Justice M Javed Buttar and Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk.
FOURTH BENCH: Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan, Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi and Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad.
FIFTH BENCH: Justice Khalil-ur-Rahman Ramday and Justice Mian Shakirullah January.
SIXTH BENCH: Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar and Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani.
