The exhibition was arranged by Zhong Mei Cultural and Media Company in collaboration with the Qingdao Administration and world-known Haier Electrical Appliances Corporation. It was arranged to create more awareness among the Chinese people, especially youth about the culture and social traditions of the foreign countries.
The exhibition included over 200 collections from 50 countries including Pakistan, portraying their landscapes and folk-customs. It was original launched as a part of publicity campaign for 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Zhong Mei Company Manager Fred Lou said the exhibition would also be arranged in about 30 Chinese cities before the Olympics, hoping, the photos put on display would help the Chinese people to have a better understanding of culture, tourism and social traditions of other countries.
