First consumer goods and services exhibition "World of Brands" commenced on Tuesday, aiming to create and build awareness of branded products among the consumers. The organiser and director of international conference, Ather Jawaid Saifi stated this in a press briefing at Karachi Expo Centre. He said the idea is to highlight the difference between unbranded and branded products and to create awareness of labelled products as well as know the difference between unbranded and branded items. More than 38 companies have participated in the event, with over 70 brands from different category available for consumers to explore, he added.
"This is a unique concept as our industry is growing, the aim and objective of the event is to create and build awareness of branded products. "If branded, then distinguish between quality and substandard products, to provide opportunity for the manufacturers to display the features of their product and services, to provide a platform to both buyer and seller to get value of each penny spent and know quality products being manufactured by the local industry."
Ather said, "In this competitive world, consumer is king and we want the king should get the crown as more branded products are coming, shelves are full of branded products and chooser is the one who is spending. "The manufacturers has to produce good quality and competitive products in order to impress the buyer," he added.
"Apart from stalls in the exhibition where products are available at ex-factory price, entertainment activities for kids and families, food courts, are also there." he added.
