Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (Piaf) has urged Director General Nadra to increase counters and staff in passport office Lahore to save precious time of applicants who at present are wasting almost whole day standing in long queues. Piaf vice-chairman, Mubashar Sheikh, in a statement issued here on Tuesday said that Nadra should take steps to ensure facilities for public at local passport office. As the applicant had to appear himself for obtaining passport, rush of applicants had increased. While foreign travelling for different purposes had also increased, he added.
In order to save applicants from hardships, more counters and staff should be detailed for the facilitation of people, he said. He demanded that provision of passport must be ensured within stipulated period.
