Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 93,219 tonnes of cargo including 64,365 tonnes import and 28,854 tonnes export cargo including 3,574 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 53,069 tonnes dry cargo including 35,582 tonnes general cargo; 2,436 tonnes rice; 5,002 tonnes coal; 10,049 tonnes fertiliser and 40,150 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo. Four ships namely G. Elephant, Apl Cairo, Kota Wangi and Maersk Alaska sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Cape Ferro, Bow Petros, Le He, Sagamore, Panama Express, YM Energy, Lalazar and Fearless are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely YM Energy, Cape Ferro, Le He and Weng expected to sail on Thursday, while three vessels viz Golden Express, Lalazar and Fearless are expected to sail on Friday.
Seven vessels viz YM Faha, Eibi Oldendroff, Iran Baabaei, Kota Teraju, Wan Hai-267, Heroic Ace and Sargodha due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 4,917 tonnes seeds; 3,437 tonnes chemicals; 49,203 tonnes diesel oil; 12,106 tonnes coal; 3,530 tonnes fertiliser and 24,395 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz Maersk Alaska, CMA CGM Kingston and Fotini Lady are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
MV Min Noble is currently at the outer anchorage.
Oil tanker Keefan due to take berth on Thursday.
Container vessel MSC Socotra due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely CV Ville de Mars, MV Taihua and Thorn Scan are due to arrive on Friday.
