Appreciating the education policies of the present regime, Rocca said Pakistan had been pursuing balanced and rational policies in the education sector and US would continue its material support for supplementing the government's efforts in making quality education accessible to all.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Javed Ashraf Qazi expressed his concerns over the strict visa regime of the US State Department and asked for relaxation of visa formalities for the Pakistani students desirous of pursuing professional studies in the United States.
The minister asked the USAID to undertake a programme to set up lasting institutions instead of allocating small amounts on a large number of projects, like world class technical institute which would benefit even the future generations of Pakistan.
