'Fazl and Durrani not to participate in NSC meeting'

Senior minister and Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Sirajul Haq has ruled out participation of the MMA leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Chief Minister Akram Durrani in the meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), scheduled on June 8. Talking to reporters here on his way to Peshawar, he termed the NSC as "a controversial body". He said the MMA's Supreme Council had rejected the idea of participation of its leaders in the NSC 's meetings.
He said that the participation of our leaders in the NSC means conceding the military rule of General Musharraf even after 2007. Earlier, NSC Secretary General Tariq Aziz has sent invitations to all members of the NSC.
