The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has called upon government to take stock of the worsening situation of the country as a result of the inflation and asked the government to pay attention to the mounting inflation. Talking to reporters President RCCI Najam Rehan said that consecutive double-digit inflation at 11 percent in April 2005 was a matter of great concern for the common man and traders' community as well. "Such high inflation rates reduce the purchasing power of the people thus posing negative impacts on the trade and industry as well", he said.
He said though the economy was advancing on faster pace but its benefit should also reach to the commoners. "Commodity prices of daily use are suffering the most in this spree", he said.
