City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, who is also the chairman of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), gave letters of promotion and also announced to give plots to the employees of the Board at a ceremony that was held on Wednesday. The proposal regarding allotments of plots to the employees was implemented by the City Nazim after 10 years. Speaking on the occasion the Nazim said: "The remaining staff from grade 1 to 16 would also be promoted shortly through the departmental promotion committee (DPC), which will meet next month.
About the promotions to the staff he said "I personally go through the cases and consider them keeping in mind the human problem of an individual and there is no discrimination between an officer and a worker."
The managing director of the KWSB addressing the workers said that the promotions were given to the employees on the instructions of the city nazim.
