30 May, 2005

Extraordinary security measures are being taken by the Jammu and Kashmir police and other agencies to ensure proper security for the Kashmiri liberation leaders proceeding to Muzaffarabad by bus on June 2, reports Kashmir Media Service.
"Since April 7, when first bus rolled on the historic road, we have to put foolproof security system in place.
So far, the bus has plied on the road smoothly. We are constantly reviewing the security scenario. And, no effort will be spared to maintain the high security level for June 2 bus," said Deputy Inspector General of Police, Occupied Kashmir central range here.
With less than a week remaining for the next bus to roll on the road to Muzaffarabad, police, paramilitary forces and army have stepped up patrolling.
Police sources said all measures have been taken to ensure proper security to the leaders during their travel to Muzaffarabad.
They said that if needed the security cover of the leaders would be strengthened to avoid any untoward incident.
