Makai and wheat turn higher

Makai price was higher on the grain market on Monday on tight supply positions, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai inferior type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 1050 while the better quality maintained its weekend level at Rs 1100, they added. Wheat Mexipak followed suit and quoted higher at Rs 1090, they said. On the grams side, bajra fine quality lost Rs 75 to Rs 2125, while the low type maintained its last levels, brokers said. The rice and seeds sector did not show any change due to balanced demand and supply, they added.
