Injured suicide attacker identified

A suspect involved in suicide attack at Madinat-ul-Ilm mosque, Gulshan-i-Iqbal has been identified on Monday morning. He belongs to banned outfit Jaish-i-Muhammad, police sources told reporters here on Tuesday at Jinnah Hospital. "The suspect's name is Muhammad Jamil, resident of Orangi Town No 6, Karachi. Early, on Monday morning, he (Jamil) got conscious in Surgical Ward 16 of Jinnah Hospital where he disclosed his identity, in initial interrogation by police", police sources informed reporters.
Police sources further said that a team of law enforcers had been sent on raid to the suspect's residence at Orangi Town. They contradicted that Jamil was injured by firing of police guards at Madinat-ul-Ilm, as the initial reports suggested. Instead, he was injured in bomb blast, sources added.
It may be recalled that police had identified that this suspect was one of the accomplices of suicide attackers when it recovered a magazine with cartridges from him while his body search.
However, the identity of other two suspects has not been ascertained till filing of this report.
