Singapore bunker prices rose on Thursday, tracking higher fuel oil cargo values, while the bunker/cargo premium held steady, dealers said. Prices for 380-centistoke (cst) bunker fuel were pegged at $263-$265 a tonne, up $10 from Wednesday, with the bunker premium at $5-$6 a tonne, unchanged from the previous trading day. "Yesterday's business was bad enough. Today is even worse and my fax machine barely buzzed at all in the evening," a Singapore-based supplier said.
"Most sellers are holding on offers at around $5-$6 a tonne above cargo values, at around $264-$265. No one is considering anything lower because they don't know where crude is going to be tomorrow and the agenda to push fuel oil levels higher is still going on."
