SCCI describes budget business-friendly

The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Tuesday warmly welcomed the financial budget for the year 2005-06 presented by the federal government. Talking to the newsmen, SCCI Vice President Shafiqur Rehman termed it a business-friendly budget packed with special incentives for boosting national economy through enhancing national exports and jazzing up trade activities.
He said the government won hearts of business community by announcing some tax relaxation's and exemptions for export oriented leather, leather goods, sports goods and other industries.
The LCCI Vice President said these tax relaxation's and tax exemptions would be helpful in minimising the cost of production of all export items, besides, bringing back Pakistani export products in competition with other countries in international export and trade markets.
Shafiqur Rehman termed it a balanced, positive and business-friendly budget and said budget revealed that the government really wants economical stability in the country.
Meanwhile, Central Chairman of Pakistan Ready-made Manufacturers & Exporters Association (Prgmea) Ijaz A Khokhar, Chairman Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association (SIMA) of Pakistan Ch Muhammad Ikram, Chairman Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PSGMEA) SH Muhammad Yunas Ratra, Chairman Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PGMEA) Shaikh Abdul Waheed Sandal also hailed the budget terming it a growth-oriented and the people-friendly budget.
