D-12 victims call upon CDA to stop violation of deal

08 Jun, 2005

The victims of D-12 have called upon the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to stop violation of package deal made between the villagers of Pind Singrial and Seri Seral few month back. They also demanded of the CDA authorities to clear payments of about 1500 kanal land in these two villagers including 'Shamilat' before restarting the development work.
Representatives of D-12 namely, Haji Shabir Ahmed, Kala Khan, Abdul Ghafoor Khan, Riasat Khan, Waseem Iqbal and Khyber Zaman stated this while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday at the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club camp office.
They accused the Land Directorate of CDA that it has started possessing land in D-12 sector for development work without paying their dues under agreement signed among the stakeholders.
Under the package deal, CDA was bound to clear all payments within a month from the date of signing of agreement but the civic body is itself violating the agreed rules, they added.
They warned the CDA of another bloody clash in D-12 if judicious payments to the victims were not made before the development of the sector.
